The French will also have the opportunity to dance to the rhythm of Cuban son, a proposal highlighted today by the cultural promoter Carmen Mayans, on the occasion of the presentation of the award-winning Septeto Santiaguero on 21 September.

The venue could not be more welcoming for a show that promises to keep the audience in permanent movement: the Enghien-les-Bains Arts Centre, an institution with three decades of experience in building bridges with the culture of the Caribbean island.

It will be an exclusive moment as part of the group’s European tour, and we can say that expectations abound, Mayans told Prensa Latina.

The performance in the picturesque town in the Paris Region of the Septeto Santiaguero, winner of the Latin Grammy in 2015 and 2018, as well as receiving several nominations for the prestigious award, will be a tribute to the Cuban son, a musical and dance genre on its way to becoming part of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity declared by Unesco.

Ambassadors since 1995 of Santiago trova and traditional Cuban music, the talented artists will promote their latest album «Y Sigo Pa’lante» on French soil.

The pleasant tones of the combination of guitar, tres, bongo, claves, maracas, double bass and trumpet and the exquisite voices of their soneros invite to say goodbye to summer and to assume the «rentrée» (the end of the holidays) to the rhythm of joy and dance.
