Miguel Díaz Canel Bermúdez, President of Cuba, toured on Thursday places of social and economic interest in Ciego de Avila, as part of the work system of the Party Central Committee to monitor compliance with agreements reached in previous visits.

Accompanied by Roberto Morales Ojeda, Member of the Political Bureau of the Party and Secretary of Organization of the Central Committee of the PCC, the Cuban president exchanged with workers of the Agricultural Enterprise «La Cuba», the central refinery «Ecuador» and there he was interested in the system of salary payment and attention to the workforce, and also learned about the alternatives created to reduce the shortage of fertilizers and other inputs.

At the «Florecitas Martianas» children’s circle in the municipality of Baraguá, Canel-Bermúdez, President of the Cuban nation, the third center he visited, learned about the repair and maintenance actions carried out there, as part of the remodeling works in honor of July 26th. He also exchanged with the children and workers of the educational institution.

Díaz Canel Bermúdez also visited the «La Voluntad» organophilic garden of the «Gaspar» Popular Council of the municipality of Baragüense and talked with the students of the «José Martí» Pre-University Institute, who are collaborating in the agricultural work.

After the conversation with the inhabitants of Baraguá about the current measures implemented to revive the Cuban nation socio-economically, he checked with Roberto Morales Ojeda, Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba, agreements made during his previous visit to this municipality related to priority programs such as food production, medical care for pregnant women and children, the solution to proposals made by voters in the constituencies, as well as the internal functioning of the highest political organization and other issues.
