Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel described today’s meeting with Sergei Naryshkin, Director of Russia’s Foreign Intelligence Service, at the Palace of the Revolution as «pleasing».
The Head of State highlighted on X that during yesterday’s dialogue, both parties addressed the excellent state of bilateral relations, coinciding with the 65th anniversary of their re-establishment.
The leader conveyed greetings from Cuban Revolution leader Raúl Castro to the visitor and sent salutations to his Russian counterpart, with whom he recently spoke. Díaz-Canel further thanked Russia for its unwavering support in combating the US blockade and securing Cuba’s removal from the unilateral list of State Sponsors of Terrorism.
