Cuban para-athletes continued their preparation for the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games in the capital today, the weekly Jit reported.

The delegation of the largest of the Antilles settled in the village on Thursday, after completing a fruitful indoor training base in Pamplona, Spain, and the national flag is already flying in the accommodation building.

We are happy to arrive here and very motivated to compete and give our best, sprinter Raciel Gonzalez, who will compete in the 100m flat race category T47 for athletes who have limited arm movement of a low to moderate degree, or the absence of limbs, told Jit.

Here we continue training to reinforce the preparation we did in Pamplona and we are all focused on getting the best possible results. There is a very good spirit among everyone and a great desire to compete, he added.

According to Jit, the village has all the infrastructure conditions for athletes with different disabilities, both for their mobility and for their stay and activities of daily living.
