Cuban Ambassador to Sri Lanka Andres Gonzalez and Sampath Anuruddha, Managing Director of Jaindi Exports (Pvt) Ltd, discussed trade opportunities with the Caribbean island here today.
Before the officials of the renowned Sri Lankan company manufacturer and exporter of large-scale food and beverages made from coconut under the brand name éconutrena, the diplomat referred to the portfolio of business opportunities for the Caribbean nation.
González provided information on coconut production, which is developed mainly in the eastern part of Cuba, especially in Baracoa, Guantánamo province.
During his visit, the ambassador, who toured the productive areas of the entity, learned details about the mission and vision of the company.
The visit was also attended by Tushira Radella, president of the Chamber of Young Entrepreneurs of Sri Lanka (Coyle) and Maribel Duarte González, first secretary of the Cuban embassy.
