The team will continue training on the 13th, 14th and 15th at the Latin American Stadium. On the 16th they will leave for South Korea.
The Cuban Baseball Softball Federation (FCBS) today announced the roster of 28 players and eight reserves for the upcoming Premier 12 Tournament under the direction of experienced Pinochet mentor Armando Jhonson.
At a press conference at the Estadio Latinoamericano, FCBS president Juan Reinaldo Pérez Pardo clarified that a requirement of the tournament organisers had been met, but that these 36 players are eligible until the day of the technical meeting, scheduled for 12 November.
Humberto Guevara, head baseball coach in Cuba, explained to the press that those chosen have the necessary tools to face such a demanding event, in search of a good result as previous national teams have always had.
«These attributes are versatility, strength, speed, swing and arm power, compliance with somatic indicators and commitment to the team’s results,» said Guevara.
Jhonson’s squad will return to training on the 13th, 14th and 15th at the Coloso del Cerro, before departing for South Korea on the 16th, the start of the critical route to get them in shape for Premier 12.
The activity was led by Raúl Fornés Valenciano, first vice-president of Inder, who will accompany the Antillean delegation.
