The people of Cuba celebrate the Day of the African Child to recognise the continent’s children as protagonists of social change and the driving force of a more dynamic and creative Africa.
The commemoration takes place each 16 June, a date on which the rights and challenges of millions of African boys and girls are brought to light.
This solidarity call extends from Cuba to Equatorial Guinea and the entire African continent, where bonds of cooperation and brotherhood have historically been strengthened.
Cuba renews its commitment to promote educational, health and social actions that guarantee safe environments for children, because investing in their present is building a fairer and more prosperous future for Africa.
