Political and governmental authorities of the province highlighted preparations for the national event commemorating 26 July during their participation in a special broadcast on Avilanian Television.

Nexy Véliz Naranjo, member of the Provincial Party Bureau, and Yadier Pérez Téllez, Provincial Government Coordinator for Programmes and Objectives, addressed challenges and priorities ahead of the celebration.

Véliz Naranjo emphasised that the Communist Party of Cuba works to address citizens’ concerns. «We aim to resolve issues through each people’s council, though not all problems will have immediate solutions,» she acknowledged.

The leader called for the National Rebellion Day commemoration in Ciego de Ávila – host of the national event marking the 72nd anniversary of the assaults on Moncada and Carlos Manuel de Céspedes barracks – to be based on «concrete results». She further stressed maintaining «humanism and unity» amid current economic challenges.

Meanwhile, Yadier Pérez Téllez detailed measures adopted for the summer season, including designated bathing areas and staff deployment to ensure recreational options.

Regarding production, he highlighted support for the La Cuba Agricultural Enterprise and plantain distribution across local and provincial markets. «We will continue fulfilling our commitments, contributing agricultural products to the national balance,» he affirmed.

Both officials agreed that the year’s second half will bring new tasks, where collaborative work between the Party, Government, and mass organisations will be pivotal.
