Casa de la Trova reopened in Ciego de Ávila

The emblematic Casa de la Trova (Trova House) Miguel Ángel Luna was reopened this Wednesday in Ciego de Ávila, completely renovated in its interior and without losing any of its architectural and patrimonial attributes.

The reopening was attended by the highest authorities of Culture, as well as representatives of the Municipal Assembly of People’s Power and Musicávila, including Miguel Ángel García Mantilla, one of Miguel Ángel Luna’s sons.

Nancy Blanco Martínez, Municipal Director of Culture in Ciego de Ávila, was in charge of the welcoming remarks, while ratifying Héctor Luis de Posada and Motivos Personales (Personal Reasons) as the hosts of the renovated Casa de la Trova Miguel Ángel Luna.

The reopening of this emblematic cultural institution has as its main objective the promotion of Cuban trova and the rest of the singer-songwriters, not only local ones, but also from the rest of the country.
