The municipality of Ciego de Avila, with a state-owned company leader of a production pole described as a paradigm, will host the provincial event for the 86th anniversary of the CTC.
The municipality of Baraguá has been chosen to host the provincial event in Ciego de Avila for the 86th anniversary of the founding of the Cuban Workers’ Central (CTC), to be held on 28 January 2025, due to its comprehensive fulfilment of its tasks during the year 2024.
The people of Baraguá will also host the provincial activity for the 66th anniversary of the Revolution, after achieving encouraging results in the emulation of the Union of Young Communists, the Federation of Cuban Women, the Committees for the Defence of the Revolution and the Association of Small Farmers.
They also held national ceremonies in the southeastern part of the province on October 3, the Day of the Agricultural Worker and the start of the campaign to sow various crops during the cold season.
The performance of the La Cuba Agricultural and Livestock Enterprise, recognised the day before by the highest leadership of the country at the 9th Plenary Session of the Central Committee of the Party, an entity that five months ago registered economic losses and today posts some 11 million in profits, through the diversification of production and the reincorporation of more than 600 workers to its economic management, among other results for which it was described as a paradigm of a productive pole and an experience that needs to be generalised, stands out there.
The Workers’ Central in Ciego de Avila also recognised the municipalities of Ciro Redondo, Bolivia and Ciego de Avila, the Provincial Unions of Culture, Construction and Food, and the Health Union as the most comprehensive.
