The Avilanian pitcher Yunier Batista is part of the Cuban Baseball team category Under 23 years that will participate in the Pan American Tournament of the sport with venue in Panama.

The squad that will be led by the also Avilanian Danni Miranda Agramonte will try to seek one of the three tickets that the tournament offers towards the world championship of the category.

Besides Cuba, there will be the teams from Mexico, Panama, Puerto Rico, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, and the United States Virgin Islands.
