Regarding the Assault on the Moncada and Carlos Manuel de Céspedes barracks, the Union of Historians of Cuba in its Ciego de Ávila branch, presented the «Federico Naranjo Moronta» award to Yoilen Laudinot Duthel, for her outstanding work in teaching history.

The foregoing transcended in the provincial museum «Simón Reyes Hernández», where the national awards «Fernando Portuondo» were also granted to Delia Zoe Oquendo Fleitas, Roberto Cambell Tross and to the combatant Roberto Quiñones Sánchez, for the results in the quality of teaching.

The occasion was also opportune for the delivery of the «Emilio Bacardi Moreau» award to Orelvis Hernández Mendoza, for his notable contribution to museology and the preservation of historical heritage.

The meeting was attended by Efrén de Jesús León Nápoles,  member of Che’s column, and representatives of the Department of Culture, the Association of Combatants of the Cuban Revolution, the Union of Cuban Journalists and the José Martí Cultural Society.

Regarding the 70th anniversary of the Moncada feat, the Union of Historians of Cuba in its Ciego de Ávila branch, also recognized those who stand out the most in the dissemination of this matter, in the base sections of the province.
