The Empresa de Bebidas y Refrescos de Ciego de Avila (EMBERCA) signed an International Economic Partnership Contract with the Spanish company Licores y Refrescos Los Primos SL, during the fourth International Food Fair, which is taking place in Havana, Cuba.
According to the web portal www.deventos.fevexpo.cu: «The agreement was signed by Leonardo Lorente Zayas, director of Empresa de Bebidas y Refrescos Ciego de Ávila, and Alexandre Alexandrovitch Beltchikov, representative of Licores y Refrescos Los Primos SL».
This important moment was attended by the head of the Cuban Ministry of Food Industry Alberto López Díaz and the Minister of Tourism Juan Carlos García Granda.
In this way, the AEI EMBERCA-Bebidas y Licores Los Primos SL was made official, which will aim to produce and market the first Cuban gin: Los Primos CubanGin, and will also add the production of vodka and other beverages to its portfolio.
The Pabexpo exhibition centre is the venue for this important event that Cuba is developing to encourage foreign investment, strengthen ties between the island’s business sector and the international sector, as well as to encourage production chains in the food sector.
The International Fair of Cuban Food, Beverages, Packaging and Food Technology (Alimentos Cuba 2024) is sponsored by the Minal, the Mincex, the management of Fira Barcelona, the Palco Business Group and the Cuban Chamber of Commerce.
