The state of the assurance for the continuity of the school year in Ciego de Ávila was evaluated this weekend by the Minister of Education, Ena Elsa Velázquez Cobiella and Jorge Luis Broche Lorenzo, member of the Secretariat of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and head of its Department of Social Attention.
After touring 8 educational centers in the municipality of Morón, Velázquez Cobiella analyzed, together with other leaders of the territory, vital aspects to guarantee the schooling process, among them, the teacher’s coverage.
The leader assured that she was convinced that the province, with its teachers, students, together with families and other factors, will continue to advance in spite of the limitations of resources and to look for solutions to the difficulties that may arise.
The Minister of Education said that Ciego de Ávila will start September with a better coverage of teachers, whom she called to look for alternatives to protect the material base of study and available in the educational centers.
During the new school year, almost 400 Avilanian schools will be opened, with the challenge of creating children’s homes, with the support of the entities, to care for the children of working mothers.
