The workers of farm 24 belonging to the Arnaldo Ramírez Agricultural Enterprise continue with the harvesting of plantain Macho, the result of sustained work by dedicated men and women committed to contributing food for the people and for prioritised centres in the Avilanian municipality of Primero de Enero.
Despite the onslaughts of nature due to lack of rainfall and the energy contingency, stemming from the tightening of measures imposed by the United States government and its influence on the Cuban economy, alternatives are sought to drive the tasks that lessen obstacles and shortages in order to produce food, watchwords of the agricultural entity.
In the endeavour of each work collective lies the commitment to fulfil the agreed productions and evidence of this is what farm 24 currently exhibits with the contribution of several tonnes of plantain and squash, in addition to the marked sense of belonging they have with the work.
