A beautiful act of altruism took place recently at the Casa de los Abuelos in the municipality of Primero de Enero, in the territory of Avila.

In a generous and totally free way, three local barbers dedicated an afternoon to give the elderly people who live in the aforementioned health institution a haircut.

The initiative of Leosdan, Daniel and Alexander, who are self-employed, is an act of love for others and cooperation with the most disadvantaged citizens of Cuban society.

This trio of self-employed people fulfills the call of the country’s top management to assist people in a state of vulnerability in order to improve their lives in times of economic crisis.

Examples such as this act of solidarity should be imitated to attenuate social inequality and stimulate brotherhood.
