With a workshop on journalistic genres, where professional knowledge was shared between Radio Morón and the Morón Te Vé channel, the activities for Cuban Press Day began in that municipality.

During the opening of the event, other actions to be carried out until 14 March were specified, a date that commemorates the publication of the newspaper Patria —founded by José Martí— in 1892, the official organ of the Cuban Revolutionary Party.

The purpose of the workshop was to strengthen the professional performance of journalists, in line with current demands and the possibilities of the media to fulfil their communication work efficiently.

Next Monday, a posthumous tribute will be paid to journalists from the territory, with the laying of floral wreaths at the local cemetery.

Additionally, a second workshop dedicated to social networks is planned, among other initiatives.
