The creation of an Industrial Scientific Technological Park in Ciego de Ávila will foster technological sovereignty, will seal the alliance between the science that is produced and the economy that needs it, and will create a new model of development sustained between knowledge and innovation.

This project is proposed by the Interfaz Enterprise and will have the Máximo Gómez Báez University of Ciego de Ávila as a strategic partner, with all its research potential.

The work streams of the aforementioned park range from Biotechnology and pharmaceuticals, food production, renewable energy, information and communication technologies, sustainable tourism to the social sciences, among others.

Without a doubt, the creation of an Industrial Scientific Technological Park in the Avilanian capital will revolutionise technological sovereignty and the territory’s wealth, in a context of economic restrictions.

Furthermore, it will enable raising the professional level of the human capital dedicated to science and research, indispensable for the economic and social growth of the Cuban nation.
