Sixth Grade Graduations in Morón: The Step to Secondary Education

This Tuesday, 23 June, as the 2025-2026 school year came to a close, primary schools in the municipality of Morón held their sixth-grade graduations, an emotional rite marking the children’s transition to secondary education.

The ceremonies, filled with smiles, recognitions and nostalgia, brought together students, teachers, school leaders and families around the effort and overall growth of the young graduates.

At the Paquito González Cueto school, teachers and parents conceived the event as a «see you later» full of hope, highlighting the shared experiences during years of classes and play.

The students of the Ignacio Agramonte school, for their part, received their diplomas on a day that reaffirmed the community’s educational commitment to the new generations.

The Antonio Maceo school was distinguished by the setting of its ceremony: the theatre of the Roberto Rodríguez Fernández hospital, which adorned the evening with a festive and solemn atmosphere.

At the José de la Luz y Caballero school, the graduation included emotional speeches, artistic performances by the children themselves, and the presentation of awards to the most outstanding students of the academic period.

At the Alberto Delgado school, the educational community lived an unforgettable day on the school’s own premises, where the students’ perseverance was celebrated, and they were wished success in their future academic journey.

It was also an unforgettable day at the Carlos Manuel de Céspedes primary school in the city of Morón, where sixth-grade students celebrated their graduation with giant smiles and hearts overflowing with joy.

Seeing them so happy and proud brought to mind everything they have grown and learned together: through classes, games, hugs and moments that will remain forever etched in memory. Each teacher left an indelible mark, and each family was the engine that propelled them to get here.

This is not a goodbye; it is a «see you later» full of hope and new dreams. They leave with their wings ready to fly, but they will always carry this institution in their hearts. Congratulations, graduates! May life smile upon you and may you continue to shine with that special light that characterises you.

Within the framework of these celebrations, the Paquito González Cueto school distinguished student Dairon Nodarse as the most integral student of the 2025-2026 academic year.

The recognition was presented today at the school itself, during an emotional ceremony in which the municipal deputy director, Ana María Pardo, was in charge of presenting the diploma.

Dairon has been outstanding for his effort, dedication and academic excellence, qualities that make him an example for his peers. Family, teachers and friends witnessed this moment of pride for the entire school community.

For its part, the Abel Santamaría Cuadrado school, located in the El Vaquerito Popular Council, also celebrated the graduation of its sixth-grade students on the school’s own premises.

The ceremony was attended by students, teachers and family members, and was a moment of mixed emotions: the joy of a job well done mingled with the nostalgia of leaving the classrooms that had seen them grow for six years.

The children received their diplomas certifying the completion of primary education, ready to begin a new stage in secondary school.

Parents did not hide their pride as they watched them parade in gowns and mortarboards, while teachers recalled anecdotes from all the time shared.

The afternoon concluded with hugs and promises of reunion, under the Morón sun, on a day that will remain engraved in everyone’s memory.

The Morón community joins in the joy of these children, who close one chapter and begin another, carrying with them the values instilled in their schools and the enthusiasm that characterises them.

This collective event reflects, once again, society’s support for education and confidence in the future of the new generations in the province of Ciego de Ávila.
