Esteban Lazo Hernández, President of the National Assembly of People’s Power (ANPP), today convened the Sixth Ordinary Session of that body, in its Tenth Legislature, to be held on 18 December at the Palace of Conventions in this capital.
The convocation, published on the website of the Cuban Parliament, will be disseminated to deputies, bodies of the Central State Administration and other competent authorities, in addition to appearing in the Official Gazette of the Republic and other media outlets.
On the agenda for the plenary session are the evaluation of the compliance with and impact of the measures from the Government Programme to correct distortions and reinvigorate the economy, the presentation of the economic objectives and goals for 2026, and the analysis of the draft State Budget law for that year.
The accountability report from the Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment, and from the Provincial Government of People’s Power of Ciego de Ávila, is also anticipated, as well as the oversight report on the Ministry of Justice and the discussion of other draft laws.
Previously, between the 15th and 17th of December, meetings of the legislative’s permanent working commissions will take place, in which more than 90 topics from the national agenda with a direct impact on the population will be analysed.
