A voluntary work day dedicated to planting sweet potatoes took place at the «Enrique Varona» Agricultural Production Cooperative (CPA) in the Avilanian municipality of Morón, with the participation of work collectives from different sectors.

The initiative saw the active involvement of the territory’s highest authorities, who joined workers in agricultural tasks, reaffirming the institutional commitment to boosting food production.

During previous voluntary work days, three hectares of this root vegetable had already been planted, demonstrating the continuity and real impact of these actions in the municipality.

The new work day not only increases the cultivated areas, but also strengthens collective awareness of the importance of agriculture and community cooperation as pillars for guaranteeing food supplies.
