A voluntary work day was carried out by teachers and staff from Primary Education and Early Childhood at La Caoba farm, in the Avilanian municipality of Morón, as a salute to 4 April, the anniversaries of the Pioneer Organisation and the Young Communist League.

The work focused on planting sweet potatoes, a short-cycle crop that will occupy large areas during the current cool season.

With shared effort and great dedication, the educators prepared the land, opened furrows and planted each plant, in an activity that combined sweat and smiles with the purpose of setting an example for the youngest children.

Those who took part confirmed that the experience was highly significant due to its team spirit and pedagogical value: educating is also about leading by example.
