The University of Medical Sciences Doctor José Assef Yara, in Ciego de Ávila, held a training course on topics such as primary health care and the analysis of care in hospital facilities.

The aforementioned activity is included in the work agreement with the Central University of Nicaragua, from which the Dean and a professor of the Central American faculty, who is in Cuba participating in an international training course, visited the Avila headquarters.

The participation of medical students enriched the exchange by the importance of academic discussions, and the exploration of new teaching and learning methodologies for medical careers.

In the opinion of the Nicaraguan visitors, «This exchange not only reinforces academic development, but also fosters a global vision and professional growth for students and teachers involved».
