The Máximo Gómez Báez University of Ciego de Ávila (UNICA) has the potential to contribute to the development of a quality course that meets the demands of these times, according to its rector, Doctor of Science Yurisbel Gallardo Ballat.

This was stated in the Methodological Concentrate corresponding to the 2024-2025 course, held on Monday at the Manuel Ascunce Domenech headquarters of the University of Avila.

The activity examined the teaching process, the link between the local university and the development of society and the transformations that must be undertaken to raise the scientific level of the educational product.

Every year, UNICA trains hundreds of professionals in technical, scientific, sports and humanities careers, thus contributing to the socio-economic development of the province of Ciego de Avila.
