Theatre takes over the streets

The 1st edition of the event Andares Callejeros is already a reality in the city of Morón; with an inaugural parade the theatrical festival officially began in these premises.

Sponsored by the Provincial Council for the Performing Arts in Ciego de Ávila, the event celebrates the 39th anniversary of the D’Morón Teatro Company, directed by Orlando Concepción González.

Icarón and El Mirón Cubano from Matanzas, Vista Andante from Granma and La Barca from Guantánamo, and the Corporación Artística Mazai from Colombia will perform.

Caminos Theatre, Los Fonoaritméticos, Teatro Primero and the circus groups Rayitos de Sol and Haliom are all from Avila, who also make up the cast of the event.

The Reguero Theatre, the socio-cultural project Reverbero, as well as other flexible spaces in the city are the main venues.

Until 2 June, Morón becomes a point of approach to Cuban theatre, a place of convergence for the ethical and aesthetic development of different population groups.
