The Bioplant Centre of Ciego de Avila, in its research and promotion work, continues to organise the 13th Congress of Plant Biotechnology and Agriculture BIOVEG 2025.

Scheduled to take place between 13 and 17 October this year at the Meliá Costa Rey Hotel in Cayo Coco, the event will have as its theme «plant biotechnology and the challenges for plant biotechnology and agriculture».

BIOVEG 2025 will operate in hybrid mode, both on-site and online, through an Internet channel, with simultaneous translation service from Spanish to English, the official languages of the congress.

Several workshops and keynote lectures are included in the programme by leading scientists and researchers from several countries.

In addition, the 13th Congress of Plant Biotechnology and Agriculture will feature a business forum including a tasting and pairing of Cuban tobacco.

Science for agriculture and the production of food from the soil is the essence of BIOVEG 2025 and the Avilanian Bioplant Centre.
