Students in Morón welcome students opting for pedagogical careers

The Rafael Morales y González Pedagogical School, in the Avila city of Morón, welcomed students from the Basic Secondary Schools of Chambas and Morón who are opting for careers related to teaching, in an operation known as Open Doors.

Upon their arrival at this centre, the future educators were welcomed by FEEM leaders and teachers of this facility with an invitation to visit classrooms and other departments, for a direct exchange with students who are going through different levels and specialisations.

Yankiel Viltre, from Baraguá, who is a first-year primary school teacher, said that this school is a fantastic centre, where they receive good attention, comfort in the dormitories and excellence in the team of teachers.

For her part, Emily Guzmán, president of the Federation of Secondary Education Students, FEEM, at the Morón Pedagogical School, gave the visiting students extensive information about the institution’s functioning and answered questions about the development of the teaching process in the training of future educators.

At the end of the tour, Ana Paula Zurita, a student of the Roberto Rodríguez Secondary School in the city of El Gallo, declared that she had never visited the Pedagogical School, so she did not imagine that it had these conditions, ‘which motivates me to multiply my vocation for teaching’, she said.

Norelvis Gonzàlez, Methodologist of Vocational Training at the General Directorate of Education in Morón, at the opening of the Open Doors operation, presented the students who are opting for specialisations in Early Childhood, Primary and Basic Secondary, who have expressed their desire to opt for pedagogical careers.
