In order to develop the leisure industry in the Avilanian municipality of Morón, it is essential to protect each of the natural resources of this territory, especially the extensive areas of the Great Northern Wetlands of Ciego de Ávila, including the La Leche and La Redonda lagoons.
It is considered imperative for the so-called industry without chimneys, given that these ecosystems are the basis of the tourism that is currently promoted in the north of Ciego de Avila.
There are still problems that affect the integrity of these extensive areas, endangering not only tourism development in the medium and long term, but also the safety of the wetlands themselves, given the protection they offer against extreme meteorological phenomena such as hurricanes of great intensity.
Protecting nature must therefore become a priority for both legal and natural persons, and in this battle, the role of governments is decisive in terms of enforcing a law that advocates for our own survival, even if we are still unable to understand it. (Redacción Informativa R.M.)
