El Vaquerito People’s Council, in the Avilanian municipality of Morón, was the first in the country to receive the 65th Anniversary Seal commemorating the founding of the Federation of Cuban Women (FMC).
This recognition is awarded by the FMC to this area of Cock City for its outstanding integrated community work, where women excel in undertaking actions favouring the economy, culture, sport and social care, among many others.
The Seal awarding ceremony took place in this zone and was attended by Odelsys Valcárcel Pérez, Secretary of the women’s organisation in Ciego de Ávila.
Tania Esther Benítez Martínez, President of El Vaquerito People’s Council, thanked the FMC for the recognition just days before the 65th Anniversary celebration and expressed the commitment it represents to continue work in support of the Revolution. (Author: Yhosvany Jimenez Hdez)
