The Provincial Bureau of the Party in Ciego de Ávila decided to award the municipality of Chambas the hosting of the central activities for the 67th Anniversary of the triumph of the Revolution.
This territory stood out for its sustained results in key sectors such as Education, Health, Agriculture, Science and Technology in addition to culture.

Although the municipality is not exempt from the difficulties faced by the province and the country, it managed to revive molasses production, is progressing in forming advisory technical teams for science, consolidates agricultural and food production programmes, fulfils medical coverage in clinics, shows a low birth weight rate below the country’s indicators and its care home for the elderly is the only one in the province that holds the Moral Condition award granted by the Central Organisation of Cuban Workers.

In services, Chambas exceeds the retail circulation plan and increases the sale of food to hard-to-reach communities. Similarly, it stands out in the indicators for cadre policy and the functioning of the political and mass organisations in the territory.

The Provincial Bureau of the Party and the Council of Government recognised the work carried out in this regard by the municipalities: Ciro Redondo, Ciego de Ávila, Morón and Primero de Enero.

Congratulations are also extended to the people of Ciego de Ávila on the 67th Anniversary of the Triumph of the Cuban Revolution, highlighting the effort in the face of the challenges imposed by the current moment in the year of the centenary of the birth of the Commander in Chief Fidel Castro.
