Public Administration Worker’s Day celebrated in Ciego de Ávila

The commitment to continue working for a «26th of Victories» was ratified by the staff of the Community Services Directorate in Ciego de Ávila during a special morning session on the Fourth of July, Public Administration Worker’s Day.

With the imperative of not wasting a day, voluntary work and initiatives aimed at celebrating the day of public servants were carried out in all municipal units, reported Luis Alberto Pérez Olivares, director of that sector in this province.

At the El Clavel funeral home, in the main city, Ricardo Valcárcel Castillo, Isidro Robaina Companioni and Raida Maritza Rivera Cervantes, workers with more than 20 and 25 years of uninterrupted work, received the «Enrique Hart Dávalos» distinction, the highest distinction granted by that union in the country.

Deisy Proenza González, member of the executive of the union section of that entity, announced that in greeting to date the commitment My Contribution to the Homeland was fulfilled and the union fee was updated, in addition to proposing cleaning and beautification tasks for the center.

The Fourth of July was instituted Public Administration Worker’s Day, in homage to Enrique Hart Dávalos, a worker in the banking sector and a symbol of revolutionary struggle, who was born on the same date, but in the year 1929.
