The Miramar Theatre hosted the premiere of the videoclip «Para No Caer», performed by the group Buena Fe and produced by the Multimedia Centre of the Ministry of Culture of Cuba (Mincult), within the framework of the National Campaign Against Drugs, Winning is Possible.
As specified by Mincult from its Facebook profile, the production was the responsibility of Claudio Peláez, who conceived the piece as an artistic proposal oriented towards prevention and the building of awareness from the cultural sphere.
The session included a presentation by students from the National Circus School, Amanda Boggiano Pardo and Yosdanis Fong Crespo, who offered an acrobatic adagio that symbolised discipline and conscious decision-making.
Subsequently the videoclip was projected, which articulates music, image and testimony to approach the problem of drug consumption from a sensitive and testimonial perspective.
Young people from the Adolescent Deaddiction Centre participated in the work, contributing authenticity and narrative force to the audiovisual story, according to the Ministry of Culture.
During the event, the work of the centre’s medical personnel was recognised, among them Elizabeth Céspedes Lantigua, Saily Domínguez Carrazana and Yanisley de la Caridad Marzán Phillips, for their accompaniment in orientation and rehabilitation processes.
The event reaffirmed that culture can become an effective tool for prevention and social awareness, in line with the national strategy that prioritises the protection of children, adolescents and young people against drug consumption.
