With a commitment to contribute to Cuba’s economic, social, and cultural development, 16 students graduated this Saturday with Bachelor’s degrees in Social Sciences from the «Mártires de Bolivia» Communist Party of Cuba School in Ciego de Ávila.
In this institution’s third graduating class, affiliated with the «Ñico López» Party University, Lisandra Castro García and Kenny Acosta Aguilera earned gold diplomas for their outstanding academic achievements. At the same time, Anay Aguilera and Yarisleidy Páez Pérez were recognised for their well-rounded performance in their studies.
Through the graduates’ oath ceremony – pledging to spare no effort in defending the continuity of the Cuban Revolution – attendees reaffirmed their loyalty to socialism and the moral values that characterise the nation.
Lázara González Armenteros, Academic Vice Dean of the Avilanian faculty, noted that the Social Sciences degree offers broad professional preparation, equipping graduates to lead processes and address phenomena in contemporary Cuban society beyond just the political perspective.
She further explained that in addition to political cadres, the program is open to officials from state institutions, government bodies, the Ministry of Interior (Minint), and the Revolutionary Armed Forces (FAR) who wish to pursue higher education.
