The National Venue for the Builders’ Day Event, to be held on the upcoming 5th of December, was officially awarded to the province of Ciego de Ávila. At the meeting, Misael Rodríguez Llanes, National Secretary of the Construction Union, and Ricardo Carbajo Chelala, Vice Minister of the Ministry of Construction, highlighted the importance of the date as a tribute to the workers of the sector, who with effort and dedication contribute to the economic and social development of the country.

In this context, Lázaro Mantilla Díaz, head of the Housing Programme at the Ciego de Ávila Construction and Assembly Company (ECM), expressed the satisfaction of the workers of Ciego de Ávila province, underlining that advances in the paving of roads and the repair of social institutions constitute a tangible reflection of the results achieved. He indicated that these actions not only improve infrastructure, but also demonstrate the commitment of Avilanian builders to the well-being of the population and the integral development of the territory.

The announcement was made from Santiago de Cuba, where it was also revealed that the provinces of Villa Clara and Sancti Spíritus were selected as outstanding in the fulfilment of their plans and in the quality of works executed, a recognition that reinforces the commitment of builders to national progress.
