From 15th September until the next 31st October, the XVII National Verification of Internal Control will concentrate its actions on more than 150 agricultural entities, among which important enclaves of the sector in Ciego de Ávila are included.
These are the Seed Companies, Integral Agricultural Ciego de Ávila, Collection Ciego de Ávila, Ceballos Agroindustrial and Turiguanó Genetics, Albertina Luis Delinois, Specialist in Human Resources Management and Institutional Communication of the Provincial Comptroller’s Office, said to Invasor.
As previously explained through national media, the focus of the evaluators is concentrated on the functioning of local food systems, the improvement of the socialist state enterprise and the compliance with policies and processes approved to achieve food sovereignty.
Darlam Dalmau Palomino, Vice Comptroller General of the Republic, said to granma.cu that comptrollers and auditors from the Comptroller General and the National Audit System are participating, who are assisted by experts from the National Office of Standardisation to evaluate topics of quality and metrology.
In the case of this central province, Luis Delinois specifies, “to contribute to the formation of university students, young people from the Accounting and Law degree courses are integrated into the auditor groups”.
Besides the selected agricultural entities, in the Municipal Administration Council (CAM) of Ciego de Ávila the compliance of the functions of the municipal commissions that are established in Law 148 will be evaluated. “Law of Food Sovereignty and Food and Nutritional Security”, its regulations and other applicable norms for the agricultural sector.
The evaluation group will take into account how 11 specific objectives are fulfilled in the selected entities and another five in the CAM of Ciego de Ávila.
As an annual exercise of training and control of fundamental public policies, the national verification allows for the evaluation of the implementation of measures and new provisions and norms aimed at raising efficiency and efficacy in administrative management.
The above corresponds with the Government programme to correct distortions and re-impel the economy, the Guidelines of the Economic and Social Policy of the Party and the Revolution and the Objectives of the First conference of the Communist Party of Cuba.
As the Vice Comptroller General of the Republic also recently highlighted, the objectivity and depth with which the entities applied the Self-Control Guide will also be evaluated, within the framework of the National Self-Control Exercise developed in the months of June and July.
