With a similar amount to the previous year, the plan for the economy and the budget for 2025 was approved in the Ordinary Session of the Municipal Assembly of People’s Power in Ciego de Avila, held this Sunday.

At the meeting it was announced that despite the difficult economic situation affecting the country and the intensification of the imperial blockade, the plans will benefit, among others, the sectors of Education, Health, Commerce, Roads, Gastronomy and Sports.

Jorge Iván Hernández Morales, deputy intendant for the economy, emphasised that higher revenues are expected to be raised, which will favour the financial autonomy of the territory of Avila.

At the meeting, economic and social issues of great interest to the people were analysed, among them, the process of bankarisation and the supply and prices of agricultural markets.

The occasion was an opportunity to recognise the General Directorate of Education for its excellent care of children and adolescents without parental care.

With the presence of the first secretary of the Party in the province Julio Gómez Casanova, the governor Alfre Menéndez Pérez and the first secretary of the Party in the municipality Misleydi Abad Modey, the economic plan and the budget for the year 2025 were approved during the Ordinary Session of the Municipal Assembly of People’s Power in Ciego de Ávila.
