As part of the activities to celebrate the 65th Anniversary of the founding of the Committees for the Defense of the Revolution, CDR, the Rainbow Project, located in the La Palma Community of the Morón municipality in Avilanian territory, received the Neighbourhood Award.

The stimulus, the highest recognition awarded by the CDRs, was presented by officials from the country’s largest mass organisation, as well as by the main authorities of the Morón territory.

During the meeting the role of the Rainbow Project in uniting the community’s inhabitants was highlighted, as well as the achievements reached in the well-being of the neighbours, principally the children

It was also emphasised that gains had been made in the social and environmental education of the children and adolescents, the collection of solid waste, the elimination of micro-dumps and the planting of ornamental plants.

The activity also recognised the most outstanding CDR zones in the Morón municipality during the emulation for the 65th Anniversary of the founding of the Committees for the Defence of the Revolution. (Author: Yhosvany Jimenez Hdez)
