The contribution to crop diversification as a response to the food sovereignty programme is one of the many results achieved so far this year by the Centre for Environmental Engineering and Biodiversity, CIBA, in the Avila municipality of Morón.

The entity belonging to the Environmental Agency, AMA, also contributes to the productive increase of the sunflower crop in the territory of Avila, through the technology of Beneficial Native Microorganisms, and achieves an increase in production yields in the Credit and Service Cooperative Rescue Sanguily, of the territory.

It also makes a significant contribution to the conservation and protection of soil resources through the use of agro-ecological practices, as well as strengthening the capacities of the agricultural sector through linkages with scientific centres and the Máximo Gómez University.

In addition, its contribution to the production of food of animal origin, as well as the production of products with local resources, to respond to the economic and social development, is also highlighted. (Redacción Informativa R.M.)
