The Provincial Act for the Day of the Agricultural Worker was held in Morón with the presentation of awards to cooperatives and municipalities that stood out in the emulative movement for the 17th of May.

The activity was presided over by Yuslayvis Borges González, member of the Provincial Bureau of the Communist Party of Cuba and Yoan Carmona Lazo, President of ANAP in Ciego de Ávila and was held at the Enrique Varona Agricultural Production Cooperative.

During the meeting, the municipalities of Bolivia and Baragua were recognised as Outstanding Municipalities, while Morón achieved the category of Emulation Winner.

The occasion was propitious for the presentation of the Romarico Cordero medal, the Antero Regalado Distinction and the José Ramírez Cruz Seal to a group of anapistas with a long and exemplary trajectory in the sector.

During the activity, the 78th anniversary of the assassination of Niceto Pérez, the 64th anniversary of the founding of the National Association of Small Farmers and the 66th anniversary of the signing of the First Agrarian Reform Law were remembered. (Author:Yhosvany Jiménez Hdez)
