Today in the city of Morón, Ciego de Ávila province, the new electric tricycle service was inaugurated, providing a closer, more accessible and sustainable transport alternative for the municipality’s residents.

The system begins with 10 tricycles operating on two routes connecting key locations in the territory:

Route 1: El Gallo Park – Morón Hospital
Route 2: Patria – Morón Hospital

Both routes begin service at 6:30 a.m., with a fare of 10 pesos per trip.

This initiative forms part of the push for local public transport using light electric vehicles, which have already shown good results in other municipalities across the country. Its implementation responds to the commitment to continue bringing mobility solutions closer to the population, especially for short distances with high daily demand.

We will continue closely monitoring the development of this service, including the implementation of its charging stations powered by renewable energy sources, while paying attention to user feedback and equipment performance to keep improving each travel experience.
