Maternal and Child Programme receives priority attention

The Maternal and Infant Programme in the municipality of Morón, with encouraging results in 2024, receives priority attention from the health sector, with emphasis on differentiated attention to pregnant women at risk.

In this sense, they insist that pregnant women must be screened within the established time and all the established follow-up, such as the genetic marker.

The health care work is characterised by a prenatal care follow-up protocol in which the medical team comes to the clinics to attend the expectant mothers.

They insist that the age for an optimal pregnancy is between 20 and 30 years old, as adolescents are not yet ready to become mothers and it is necessary to promote sexual education to avoid risks. (Author: Carlos G. González Ruiz)
