There are almost ten Local Development Projects in the municipality of Majagua, which are in operation or in the start-up phase after approval.

The group that has been in operation for some time and whose contributions, as of last April, exceeded 2 million pesos, is made up of «Mable Muebles» dedicated to working with wood, «El Agroindustrial Guamajales», a producer of dried condiments, and «La Estrella», which is involved in livestock farming.

The group of experienced Local Development Projects in the southwest of Avileño is completed by «Addiagmara. De todo para el Hogar», «La Finquita» integrated into the production of ice cream and other dairy products and «D’ Vladimir» for the production of sausages and smoked products.

In the case of recently approved projects, «La luz de Jesús» dedicated to the production of charcoal, «MIYU a sus servicios» in the construction sector for the completion of houses and other buildings and «Los Productos Agropecuarios» whose headquarters are located in the Community of Río Grande in the Popular Council of Mamonal.

The Local Development projects are established as a way to materialise strategies at the local, municipal and provincial level, based on the use of endogenous resources and the capacities of the groups and actors participating in the management.
