In response to the assassination of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced the launch of an attack on Israeli territory and at least 27 US bases in the Middle East region.
«The Armed Forces will take a different and forceful revenge,» the IRGC wrote. «The sixth wave of Operation True Promise 4 was carried out forcefully through extensive missile and drone attacks by the IRGC against the occupied territories and US military bases in the region,» it added.
According to Iranian forces, among the targets of the attack are the Israeli army headquarters in HaKirya, Tel Aviv, a defence industrial complex in the same city, and an air base in the Israeli capital.
Following the IRGC’s announcement, the Israeli army asked the population to stay in safe places until further notice, without giving more details.

Upon confirmation of the death of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, the speaker of the Iranian parliament declared, «We will take revenge on the Americans and Israelis. They have crossed our red line.»
He later stated that Iranian forces would inflict such terrible blows upon them that they would beg for clemency.
