In an atmosphere of joy and reflection at the Raúl Corales Fornos pedagogical school in Ciego de Ávila, World Peace Day was commemorated, a day dedicated to promoting non-violence, mutual understanding, and the construction of a more just and peaceful world.
The event began with an emotional musical performance and the reading of a poem about peace by students from different grades who presented theatre works, dances, and songs, addressing themes such as the importance of peace, the peaceful resolution of conflicts, respect for diversity, and solidarity among peoples.

In their speeches, they highlighted the need to build a world where the values of tolerance, equality, and dialogue prevail. The fundamental role of education in promoting peace was emphasised, underscoring the importance of teaching children and young people to resolve conflicts peacefully and to respect cultural and religious differences.
The students, with their messages full of hope and optimism, shared their reflections on peace and the need to build a better future for all; here they ratified that, «Peace begins in our hearts,» «Education is the key to a peaceful world,» «United we can build a future without violence.»

The event culminated with a message of hope and commitment; the students and teachers of the Raúl Corales Fornos Pedagogical School in Ciego de Ávila reaffirmed their commitment to the promotion of peace and peaceful coexistence, and called on all members of the community to work together to build a more just and peaceful world for all.
