In line with the revitalisation process, which seeks to encourage the incorporation into employment, the Federation of Cuban Women, FMC, in the municipality of Morón in Avila, is developing training programmes that help to prepare those interested of both sexes, with the aim of accessing a profession or trade.

The different courses, which are very popular, are related to cooking, hairdressing, non-state work and their relationship with the public, as well as others of great interest, preferably for young people.

In addition to various specialities, the Women’s and Family Counselling Centre also deals with alcoholism, coexistence, disease prevention in the community and other problems as part of the organisation’s educational and preventive work.

These programmes are an essential link in the development of guidance and attention to the problems affecting women, and in the formation of values in the different generations living together in the same household.
