- The members of the Avilanian political emulation movement Latido 87 (Heartbeat 87) feel the emotions of triumph as winners of the national event for the 87th anniversary of the CTC.
The one with the strongest heartbeat is Doctor Lisandra Limonte de La Rosa, general secretary of the Municipal Committee of the Central Organisation of Cuban Workers (CTC) in Ciro Redondo, winner of the provincial emulation for the comprehensiveness in fulfilling the prioritised tasks and the work objectives during 2025 in this province, winner of the national event for the 87th anniversary of the organisation.
Other victors in the organic functioning indicators were the municipal CTCs of Baraguá and Venezuela, and the provincial bureaus of the Trade Unions of Food Industry and Fishing Workers; of Commerce, Gastronomy and Services; of Construction; and of Energy and Mines.

Yunier Amador Sarmiento Segura, general secretary of the Provincial Bureau of the Trade Union of Food Industry and Fishing Workers, receives the certificate of recognition among the most outstanding organisations of the trade union emulation in 2025.
Avilanian trade unionists, on the eve of their new birthday on the 28th of January, take the pulse of the political emulation movement Latido 87, with the presentation of a plaque with that name to outstanding work collectives. The first to receive it were the representatives of the Construction Materials Enterprise and the MSME Mercantile Society Carnes D’Tres S. R. L.
Now, Niurka Ferrer Castillo, general secretary of the CTC in the province, measures the pulse of the commitments to preserve the triumphs: «We conquered the condition of outstanding organisation in the 26th of July emulation for which our province was the host of the national event last year, a stage in which we advanced in cadre policy and membership surpassed 95 percent by totalling the categories of state and private sector workers, and retirees.
«We declared 230 entities My centre, 22nd workers’ congress, we boosted the presentation of decorations, we multiplied voluntary work in food production, we supported the construction of solar photovoltaic parks and the sugar agro-sector, the help of our members to care homes for the elderly, homes for children without family protection and donations to those affected by hurricanes in the eastern provinces grew.»
