The measures implemented by the Road Safety and Traffic Commission in Ciego de Avila to reduce the risk of accidents guarantee greater safety on the roads, as no such incidents have been recorded in the areas destined for activities during the current summer season.

This was announced by Sonia Hernández Talavera, executive secretary of this body in this province, who added that, despite the results, the presidents of the municipal commissions must ensure compliance with the prevention actions in each territory.

In this sense, she mentioned the activation of each of the alcohol testing points, mainly on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, between seven and ten in the morning, and from four to seven past midnight.

Hernandez Talavera reiterated that drivers are obliged to carry the permit letter for mass transportation to recreational areas and beaches, issued by the governing body in the territory.

Likewise, private vehicles carrying out transportation to the aforementioned areas will also comply with this procedure, he added, while assuring that they will increase the confrontation of violations by the different users of public roads.
