Foreign Minister continues official visit to Asian countries in Singapore

Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, Cuba’s Foreign Minister, toured PSA International in Singapore today as part of his official visit to four Asian countries.

At X, the Foreign Minister highlighted the prestige of this company and its performance as a global port operator.

Rodriguez Parrilla stressed that during the visit he discussed the work of PSA International at the Mariel Port Container Terminal, in the west of the largest of the Antilles.

According to the senior Cuban official, he also discussed how to optimise the impact of these operations on the well-being of the people.

As part of his agenda in Singapore, the head of Cuban diplomacy met this Monday with his counterpart, Vivian Balakrishnan.

«I reaffirmed Cuba’s willingness to continue developing relations of friendship and cooperation between the two countries,» Rodríguez Parrilla wrote about the meeting.

They also stressed their willingness to increase economic exchange in various sectors, he added.

Singapore is the second stop on the Foreign Minister’s official visit to Asian countries, which began in Malaysia, as part of the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations.

According to information from the Foreign Ministry, the minister will then head to Vietnam and Laos.

Accompanying Rodríguez Parrilla on this official visit to Asian countries are the head of the Minister’s Secretariat, Nelson Tamayo Caro, and the Foreign Ministry’s Director for Asia and Oceania, Ariel Lorenzo Rodríguez.
