For the best economic strategy in 2023 dairy industry in Ciego de Ávila

The application of alternatives to diversify productions from a better use of soybeans, tropical fruits and other products, constitutes one of the main objectives for this year of the Dairy Products Company in Ciego de Ávila.

This strategy is aimed at achieving greater production volumes of custards, spreadable creams, dressings, milkshakes, ice creams and syrups, with a view to manufacturing more food for the population and addressing the deficit of material and financial resources that limit imports of raw materials.

This industry was affected last year by the non-compliance of the livestock sector that stopped delivering more than 2 million 700 thousand liters of fresh milk, so that the entire amount processed was used for the basic basket and that limited the production of cheeses, ice creams , yogurt, butter and other derivatives.

The collective of the Dairy Products Company of the Avilanian territory has among the commitments for 2023, to put into operation initiatives that allow a better use of resources with a view to facing the increase in prices such as those of sugar and fuels, in order to be able to thus getting out of the economic losses that exceeded 25 million pesos last year.
