Reflecting on how it is possible to achieve a healthier and safer environment in each workplace is one of the objectives of the theoretical workshop related to accidents and road safety education that will continue tomorrow, Tuesday 22nd, the National Day of Safety and Health at Work, which has a varied program of activities in the province of Ciego de Ávila, winner this year of the headquarters of this type of celebration in the country.
The Brushes and Plastic Articles Company (Cepil), winner of the Safe Center status, was selected to carry out this theoretical workshop aimed at evaluating the behavior of labor accidents, which have occurred 21 less than in the same period last year, but not fatal accidents, with a total of seven, four more than in 2021.
The number of traffic accidents in terms of fatalities and injuries also increased in the territory.
The initiatives aimed at achieving a positive culture in the fulfillment of prevention plans will continue on Thursday 24 at the Jardines del Rey International Airport, in Cayo Coco, where a colloquium on occupational diseases and medical expertise will be held.
On the 28th, at the Provincial Company of Supply and Education Services (EPASE), a conference will be held on the contributions of the working class to maternal and child health care programs and the fight against cancer.
The activities will be extended until December with the celebration of a colloquium on diseases of epidemiological origin and a conference on blood donations, a task in which the workers have made more than 400 donations this year, as part of the political movement Contribute your drop to save lives, an initiative of the avilanian union movement.
